21 Days to Reset to Your Best Health & Self
A private, immersive Ayurvedic healing experience in Kerala, India with Dr. Jen Wilhelm
There are times in our lives when a weekend away simply isn’t enough. Our bodies need time to rest, our nervous systems need an opportunity to settle, and our minds need enough space to step away from the constant demands of everyday life. Sometimes meaningful change requires removing ourselves from our usual environment altogether and giving ourselves permission to focus on our own health, healing, and well-being.
RESET Retreats were created to provide that space. For 21 days, we step away from our schedules, responsibilities, habits, and distractions and enter a private environment in Kerala intentionally centered around healing, restoration, and renewal. Rather than filling each day with activities and excursions, RESET gives you the rare opportunity to slow down and allow your body to receive the time and attention it may have been asking for.
At the heart of the experience is a personalized 21-day Panchakarma program in Kerala, India, supported by experienced Ayurvedic doctors and therapists. Each guest follows an individualized program that may include approximately 2½–3 hours of traditional Ayurvedic treatments each day, along with physician consultations, Ayurvedic herbs and medicines, nourishing meals, and plenty of time for rest.
Throughout the retreat, I accompany you through the experience, bringing more than 30 years of work in bodywork, chiropractic care, structural integration, nervous-system work, meditation, qi gong, and wellness coaching. My role is not to replace your Ayurvedic medical team, but to provide another layer of support, education, community, and integration throughout our time together.
RESET is not simply a vacation to India, and it is not a conventional wellness retreat. It is an intimate experience intentionally kept small and personal. The exact retreat location and details are shared privately with invited participants, allowing us to preserve the quiet, simplicity, and special nature of the experience.
Why 21 Days?
One of the things that makes RESET different from shorter retreats is the amount of time we give ourselves. True restoration cannot always be scheduled into a long weekend. During RESET, you have three uninterrupted weeks to gradually settle into the experience and allow the pace of your life to change.
Your Ayurvedic doctors evaluate you individually and develop a treatment program based on your constitution, current needs, and response to treatment. That program may evolve throughout your stay. Rather than receiving the same therapies every day, your treatments are adjusted as you move through the different stages of Panchakarma.
The extended stay also allows something else to happen: you stop rushing. There is no need to squeeze a treatment between sightseeing excursions or hurry off to the next scheduled activity. Your treatments, meals, rest, movement, reflection, and sleep become the rhythm of your day.
For three weeks, instead of continually asking your body to keep up with your life, you have the opportunity to create a life that supports your body.
What Is Panchakarma?
Panchakarma is one of Ayurveda’s traditional approaches to cleansing, restoration, and rejuvenation. Ayurveda originated in India thousands of years ago and takes an individualized approach to well-being, considering factors such as constitution, digestion, lifestyle, environment, sleep, stress, and overall balance.
During RESET, your Panchakarma program is overseen by an Ayurvedic medical team rather than following a predetermined, one-size-fits-all protocol. Depending upon your individual program, your daily care may include therapeutic oil treatments, traditional massage, herbal preparations, steam treatments, and other physician-directed Ayurvedic therapies.
Most days include approximately 2½–3 hours of treatment, but what happens during the remainder of the day is equally important. Panchakarma traditionally allows substantial time for rest, simple nourishing food, quiet reflection, and reduced stimulation. Instead of treating that downtime as empty space that needs to be filled, RESET intentionally protects it.
A Different Rhythm
Life during RESET moves at a very different pace from life at home. You may begin your morning with meditation, gentle movement, qi gong, yoga, journaling, or simply some quiet time before breakfast. After a nourishing vegetarian meal, you may meet with your Ayurvedic doctor and then move into your individualized treatment program for the day.
Once your treatments are complete, the remainder of your day is intentionally spacious. You may read, journal, walk, swim, spend time in nature, take a nap, connect with other members of the group, or simply enjoy being somewhere where you do not have to constantly accomplish something.
There will be opportunities for us to gather as a group as well as plenty of room for solitude. Some days you may feel social and energetic, while on other days your body may be asking for quiet and sleep. Both are welcome. One of the intentions behind RESET is to begin listening more closely to those signals rather than automatically overriding them.
The rhythm is intentionally simple: receiving care, nourishing yourself, resting, reflecting, connecting, and allowing the experience to unfold without constantly needing to do more.
What Is Included in Your RESET Retreat?
Your 21-day RESET Retreat is designed so that once you arrive, much of what you need for your Panchakarma experience is already taken care of. Your retreat includes comfortable accommodations, three nourishing vegetarian meals each day, approximately 2½–3 hours of individualized Ayurvedic treatments daily, regular consultations with your Ayurvedic doctor, personalized treatment planning, and the Ayurvedic herbs, medicines, and therapeutic oils prescribed as part of your program.
You will also have opportunities for yoga, meditation, qi gong, wellness education, restorative practices, and group connection, while still maintaining the spaciousness that is so important to this experience. Depending upon the needs of the group, I may also incorporate elements from my background in chiropractic care, cranial and structural work, nervous-system regulation, bodywork, and wellness coaching.
Before we leave, I will help you prepare for the journey with travel information, packing recommendations, and guidance about what to expect. Transportation from the designated airport in Kerala to our private retreat location will also be coordinated as part of your RESET experience.
A Private Experience in Kerala
Part of what makes RESET special is what we intentionally choose not to make public.
Our retreats take place in carefully selected settings in Kerala, India, where we can immerse ourselves in authentic Ayurvedic care while maintaining the intimacy and quiet that are central to the experience. RESET is not designed to become a large destination retreat with dozens of participants. The groups remain intentionally small.
For that reason, the specific retreat location, accommodations, practitioners, itinerary, and other details are shared personally with prospective participants during the interview and invitation process.
This allows RESET to remain what it was created to be: a private, personal experience shared among a small group of people who have intentionally chosen to step away from their lives for three weeks and enter something very different together.
This Is Not a Typical Wellness Vacation
RESET is intentionally different from a conventional destination retreat. We are not trying to fill every hour with sightseeing, workshops, classes, excursions, and entertainment. There may be opportunities to experience the beauty and culture of Kerala, but those activities are not the center of the retreat.
The center of this experience is creating the time and space for your own restoration.
Panchakarma requires a certain amount of surrender. There may be days when you feel wonderful and energetic and want to walk, explore, or spend time with the group. There may also be days when your body wants nothing more than your treatments, a nourishing meal, and a long afternoon nap. Both are part of the experience.
One of the most important things I want RESET to offer is permission to stop performing. You do not need to accomplish anything while you are here. You do not need to keep up with anyone else, and you do not need to turn your healing into another project.
You are allowed to receive care, listen to your body, and let the experience unfold.
Who Is RESET For?
RESET may be especially meaningful if you have reached a point in your life when you know you need more than another vacation. Perhaps you have spent years caring for other people, building a career, raising a family, navigating significant life changes, or simply keeping up with everything that has been required of you.
You may be entering a new chapter and wanting to reconnect with yourself before deciding what comes next. You may be longing for deeper rest, renewed vitality, a quieter nervous system, or a more intentional relationship with your body. Or you may simply have an unmistakable feeling that you need to step away for a while.
There is no requirement that you arrive with a particular goal or a perfectly articulated reason for coming. In fact, sometimes the clarity comes only after we finally create enough quiet to hear ourselves.
Because RESET is small and immersive, however, it is important that the experience is a good fit for everyone involved. This is why participation begins with a personal conversation rather than an online registration form.
Why Kerala?
Ayurveda is not something we are attempting to recreate inside a Western resort. We go directly to India and, more specifically, to Kerala, a region with a long and deeply rooted tradition of Ayurvedic medicine and Panchakarma.
There is something very different about experiencing a healing tradition within the culture and environment from which it emerged. The tropical climate, medicinal plants, food, practitioners, daily rhythms, and traditions are all part of the larger experience.
Travel itself also creates an important separation from everyday life. When you are thousands of miles from your normal schedule and responsibilities, it becomes much easier to interrupt familiar routines and patterns. You cannot simply run home to take care of an errand or slip immediately back into the demands that normally compete for your attention.
Instead of trying to bring Ayurveda to us, we travel to its source and allow ourselves to experience it within the environment where these traditions have been practiced for generations.
Journey With Dr. Jen
My work with the human body began more than 30 years ago and has evolved through decades of massage therapy, chiropractic care, cranial and osteopathic approaches, structural work, nervous-system care, meditation, qi gong, wellness coaching, and other restorative modalities.
Over those years, one thing has become increasingly clear to me: sometimes people need more than another treatment or appointment. We can make meaningful changes during an hour together, but there are times when what someone truly needs is enough space to interrupt the patterns they have been living inside.
RESET Retreats grew from that understanding and from my own experiences with healing, travel, Ayurveda, and the profound value of stepping away from everyday life.
During our time in Kerala, your Ayurvedic physicians and therapists are responsible for your Panchakarma care. My role is different. I am there to help guide the larger journey, create a supportive community, offer wellness education and restorative practices, and help you integrate what you are experiencing physically and personally.
I also understand that traveling to India for three weeks can feel like a significant step, especially if you have never traveled there before. Part of the beauty of RESET is that you don't have to navigate that experience alone. We enter this experience together.
Preparing for Your Journey
Your RESET begins well before you arrive in Kerala. Once you have been invited to participate and have reserved your place, you will receive guidance about preparing for the retreat, what to bring, what to expect, and how to make the transition into Panchakarma as comfortable as possible.
Guests arrange their own international airfare, and detailed arrival information is provided privately to participants. Transportation from our designated arrival point in Kerala to the retreat location will be coordinated as part of the RESET experience.
Because this is international travel and Panchakarma is an intensive wellness experience, comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended. You should also speak with your personal healthcare provider before participating if you have health conditions, take medications, or have questions about whether Panchakarma or international travel is appropriate for you.
Bringing the RESET Home
Eventually, we pack our bags, leave Kerala, and return to our regular lives. Yet the purpose of RESET is not simply to feel wonderful while you are away. The deeper opportunity is to discover what happens when you remove enough noise, responsibility, and routine to hear yourself again.
Three weeks gives you time to notice things that can be difficult to see when you are immersed in everyday life. You may become more aware of what your body needs, which habits truly support you, what you are ready to leave behind, and what you want to carry forward into the next chapter.
That is why I think of this experience as a RESET rather than an escape. The intention isn't to leave your life behind. It is to create enough distance from your normal life to see it from a different perspective and then return home with a clearer understanding of how you want to live within it.
A Personal Invitation
RESET Retreats are intentionally small, private, and personal. Because each experience is created around a carefully gathered group, there is no public registration page, published itinerary, or online booking process.
The first step is a private conversation.
During your RESET interview, we’ll talk about what is drawing you to this experience, where you are in your life, what you hope to receive from your time in Kerala, and whether this feels like the right experience and the right time for you. I’ll also personally share the details of the upcoming retreat, including the private location, accommodations, travel information, what is included, and the investment required to participate.
I intentionally keep these details within the interview process because RESET is not something I want someone to choose simply by comparing a destination, itinerary, or price on a website. It is a deeply personal three-week experience, and I want you to understand what you are stepping into—and feel genuinely connected to it—before making that decision.
If, after our conversation, it feels like RESET is a good fit for both of us, you may be invited to join the private list for an upcoming experience. When the right retreat becomes available, those on the list will be contacted personally before the experience is opened any further.
There is no pressure or obligation associated with the interview. It is simply an opportunity for us to connect, for you to ask questions, and for both of us to determine whether this is the right experience, the right group, and the right time.
If RESET Is Calling You
You may not know exactly why this experience is drawing you in. You may simply know that something in your life is asking for space, restoration, change, or a deeper kind of reset.
That is enough reason to begin the conversation.
Request a private RESET interview and tell me a little about yourself, what is drawing you to this experience, and why now feels meaningful. From there, we'll connect personally and see where the conversation leads. Send an email or text us to schedule your interview.
